In his Sunday address to the faithful, published by the press service of the Holy See, Pope Francis mentioned the anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
This was reported by Vatican News.
"Tomorrow marks the third anniversary of the full-scale war against Ukraine: a painful and shameful occasion for all of humanity! As I renew my solidarity with the martyred Ukrainian people," the Pope reminded, "I invite you to remember the victims of all armed conflicts and to pray for the gift of peace in Palestine, Israel, and throughout the Middle East, in Myanmar, in Kivu, and in Sudan," Pope Francis said in his address to the faithful.
Hospitalized on February 14 at Rome's Agostino Gemelli Hospital, the Holy Father did not lead the Angelus prayer at noon today, but sent his greetings to the pilgrims in writing.
Pope Francis also greeted the participants of the deacons' jubilee and thanked the hospital staff, asking everyone to pray for him.
