Christian churches were not divided in Kyiv, but they can be united in Kyiv. Not by political statements about reunion, but though common prayer and Communion, which Christ will perform and give to them with His mighty hand, and through them, to all the people, according to the text of the beautiful

We have the Patriotic War, which is also the Third World War. This can be seen from the extent to which the world is united around Ukraine and supports us in our struggle for freedom. Ukrainians show the amazing signs of unity.

From the very beginnings, the tradition of the Kyiv Church in moment like this was a prayer in the central church - in St. Sophia. Now it is the time for the Kyiv church to perform a miracle again and pray in the front of The Unbreakable Wall. I am deliberately talking about the Kyiv Church in the singular. Because at the level of Its faithful, the Church is now the one as never before.

I ask, I pray and I beseech that the Holy Spirit descends on the primates of our Church and that one of them –Beatitude Sviatoslav or Beatitude Epiphaniy - to whom the Spirit will give - came out with the initiative to have common Divine Liturgy at St. Sophia. I ask, pray and implore that at this Divine Liturgy we will commemorate not only the Pope and the Ecumenical Patriarch, but all Orthodox patriarchs.

Christian churches were not divided in Kyiv, but they can be united in Kyiv. Not by political statements about reunion, but though common prayer and Communion, which Christ will perform and give to them with His mighty hand, and through them, to all the people, according to the text of the beautiful prayer from the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.

We ask, we pray, and we beseech Thee, let Thy Holy Spirit descend upon us ...
