"The first case of coronavirus infection was recorded in the Ternopil region. The 57-years old inhabitant of Zalischyky is self-isolated, the doctors assess his condition as moderate. The man is being administered symptomatic treatment. Contact persons are being identified. They will be recommended to self-isolate," the report says.
It is noted that the man is a clergyman and has a large family.
As reported, on Friday, Ternopil Regional State Administration Voted for the introduction of an emergency situation in the region and recommended the city headquarters to pass the same decisions.
"For residents of Zalischyky district and neighboring districts, restrictions on movement will be increased. Police posts will be set up at exits from the district center. Law enforcement officers will conduct screening," the regional administration added.
