Redemption of a postage stamp dedicated to the 25th anniversary of All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations

To the 25th anniversary of All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations State Enerprise “Ukrposhta” launched a jubilee stamp and special envelope redeemed on June 24 before a solemn session on the occasion of this date. In the ceremony participated His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Epiphaniy, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, members of AUCCRO and invited guests.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav, who is currently the chairman of AUCCRO, together with metropolitan Epiphaniy in their greeting said that such glorious anniversary of the organization which unites 95 percent of Churches and religious organizations in Ukraine and for 25 years has been working for reaching out for an agreement and unity of the faithful, it was agreed to invent something to remain in history.

Thus, four exquisite copies of a jubilee stamp and special envelope were redeemed and signed by His Beatitude Sviatoslav and metropolitan Epiphaniy.

The stamp depicts a logo of AUCCRO – the map of Ukraine with a symbolic picture of AUCCRO members. Jubilee envelopes and stamps of this kind occupy honorable places in collections of philatelists around the globe.
