Registration for Participation in UGCC Song Competition Begins

This year the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) will hold an international competition of modern religious songs “Song of the Heart - 2013” to mark the 2015th anniversary of the Baptism of Ukraine under the motto “Faith by which I live.”

This year the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) will hold an international competition of modern religious songs “Song of the Heart - 2013” to mark the 2015th anniversary of the Baptism of Ukraine under the motto “Faith by which I live.”

According to the Information Department of the UGCC, the competition is organized by representatives of the UGCC Patriarchal Catechetical Committee jointly with the UGCC Committee on Education, Catechetical and Pedagogical Institute of UCU, Banking University in Kyiv, International Institute of Education, Culture and Relations with the Diaspora of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv Regional Council and international public organization Spiritual Choice Foundation. The competition will be held at the parish, deanery, eparchial, patriarchal (June 14-15) levels. The gala concert will be held on June 29.

According to the conditions of the event, the themes of the songs should reflect the essence of the Christian calling, Christian values.

Interested persons from outside Ukraine are to send the song phonogram, filled application form, printed lyrics, written consent of the authors of the lyrics and music, photos 10 cm by 15 cm by June 3.
