Religious communities of the Chernivtsi region have joined the appeal to the international community regarding the need to close the sky over Ukraine.

This is stated on the page of the regional military administration on Facebook, Suspilne reports.

The document was signed by representatives of the clergy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the Jewish community and others.

"Thousands of dead and injured children, women, the elderly, destroyed hospitals, schools, kindergartens – this is the price of delay in closing the sky," the document says.

Previously, the request was signed by more than a hundred volunteers of the Humanitarian Center in Chernivtsi. Territorial communities of the region, representatives of the Chernivtsi city and regional councils also joined.
