Remains of ancient Capuchin monastery in Volyn region collapsed

So far, only walls with semi-circular niches have remained Volodymyr-Volynskyy, which, according to critics, are typical for monastery buildings of the 18th century.

It is known that the Capuchin monastery in Volodymyr-Volynskyy was closed in 1832 and the monastery archives are being stored in Krakow.


So far, only walls with semi-circular niches have remained Volodymyr-Volynskyy, which, according to critics, are typical for monastery buildings of the 18th century.


Similar structures are found in Kremenets, Pochayiv, Ostroh.


According to IA ZIK, member of Volyn regional council on behalf of Volodymyr-Volynskyy Konstantin Zinkevich, the issue of preservation of monuments has not been conscientiously addressed, “they were white-painted from time to time, and that is all.”
