Z-Metropolitan Yevgeny (Kulberg) of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye proposed that each media outlet be assigned a priest.

The Metropolitan voiced said initiative at a meeting with the heads of state media in the Sverdlovsk region.
The journalists supported the idea unanimously. Specific priests will be approved by the end of February. They are to meet with the editorial staff, hold conversations, and work together to come up with new formats of interaction.
Previously, the Metropolitan has repeatedly made surprising and odious statements: for example, he said that the music of life is born in a tank factory. He compared Christ's victory over death to Russia's victory over Ukraine, and called Russia's military actions against Ukraine “necessary surgery.”
