Russia Day to Be Celebrated in Kyiv Cave Monastery

Celebrations marking Russia Day will be held on June 14 on the territory of the Kyiv Cave Monastery National Historical and Cultural Preserve.

Celebrations marking Russia Day will be held on June 14 on the territory of the Kyiv Cave Monastery National Historical and Cultural Preserve, Religion in Ukraine reports with a reference to Kplavra.kiev.ua.

The program of celebrations will include a solemn prayer followed by a concert of sacred music with performances by the Dumka National Academic Choir of Ukraine, the National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine, and soloists of the Mariinsky State Academic Theater.

The celebrations will be attended by officials from the Embassy of Russia in Ukraine, clergy members of the UOC-MP, and political and religious activists.

Russia Day has been celebrated on June 12 (the day the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation) every year since 1992.
