Russian missile strikes near Babyn Yar, the site of Nazi massacres

A video posted by the UJCU shows the fresh pit from the projectile and fragments of the smoking missile.

Today, the Russian Federation once again carried out a mass shelling of Ukrainian cities, particularly targeting Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Babyn Yar had been under enemy fire since the early days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory. On March 1, 2022, a Russian missile hit a communication tower. This time, the area was shelled in close proximity to the site of mass burials of victims of the Nazi massacre.

As reported, within just two days of September (29-30), 1941, during the massacre at Babyn Yar, a total of 33,771 Jews perished. These were individuals who couldn’t evacuate during the Nazi onslaught, with tens of thousands more falling victim over the course of two years.
