Russian propagandists have created and posted a New Year's video in which Santa Claus, based on the image of the Christian Saint Nicholas, is destroyed by Russian air defense systems.
This was reported by the 7х70 Telegram channel.
At the end of the video, Father Frost (a pagan image) and a Russian military officer report that “the target has been destroyed” and say they “don't need anything foreign in their world.”
The video was released a few days after St. Nicholas Day, according to the Julian calendar. However, it is noteworthy that Father Frost, popularized in the USSR at the height of atheist propaganda to replace the Christian St. Nicholas, is not particularly popular in Russia.
