Sixth Ecumenical Social Week in Lviv to Gather Experts from Europe and Ukraine to Discuss Tolerance in Society
The Sixth Ecumenical Social Week will be held October 1-5, 2013, in Lviv.
During the Ecumenical Social Week, participants will discuss issues of differences and respect in all spheres of social life.
The opening ceremony will begin with an ecumenical prayer for the unity of Christians and with a plenary session, during which the key issues of the forum will be defined. Over the following four days the following activities are planned: seminars and roundtables, ecumenical visits, visits to social organizations, youth events, meeting in the spirit of Taizé, a fair for social organizations, a concert featuring artists with disabilities, and other fun activities. Speakers will talk about various aspects of religious, social, and cultural differences (October 2-3).
The last day of sessions (October 4) will be devoted to discussions on the education of the young generation in the spirit of respect.
Guests from France, Austria, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands, as well as experts from Ukraine, will share their experiences.
