The fourth working meeting of the editorial board of Bible Commentary: The Modern Evangelical Perspective was held in Jerusalem’s AMI Center for Biblical Study and Research on February 7-18, 2012. This meeting ended a nearly two-year period of writing the bible commentary.
“Bible Commentary is a Russian single-volume commentary on all canonical books of the Old and New Testament, which is designed for pastors, preachers, teachers, leaders of small groups and anyone involved in various kinds of service in local churches. The main goal of Bible Commentary is to foster better understanding of the Bible and the better use of the biblical text in different areas of church ministry, to encourage the development of the cultural study of the Bible, and to improve the quality of preaching the Gospel in local communities,” Taras Dyatlyk, director of Euro-Asian Accrediting Association, told RISU.
At this meeting, a guideline for the authors was prepared as were procedures for the theological and literary editors on how to work on the text of the commentary and analysis articles. Authors from eastern Europe representing various evangelical groups will be involved in the project. Bible Commentary: Modern Evangelical Perspective is scheduled to be published in autumn 2015.
The initiator of the project is Euro-Asian Accrediting Association through its Research Center with the support of Langham Partnership.
