"Without God, we would not have survived for so long," - Bishop Vitaly Kryvytskyi on the 1000th day of the war - фото 1
A thousand days since the beginning of the war, when foreign politicians and we ourselves were afraid to call it "war" as we did not believe that Russia was capable of such a thing. And yet it was and it is.

This is stated in the message of Bishop Vitaly Kryvytskyi of the RCC in Ukraine on the occasion of 1000 days of full-scale war.

According to him, without God, we would not have survived this long.

“Can the Lord do more for us? Yes, of course. He can do anything. But this “more” must also be done by us. Not only on the prayer front, despite the exhausted hands and despondency of some of us. Not only with donations and charitable assistance, because without them it is impossible. But also in justice, for which we cry out to God and the civilized world, but cannot cope with the plunderers of the budget and foreign aid. Expecting help from God, we neglect His laws, both at the household level and in the adoption of state laws. We lack the presence of God in human relationships: from politicians to relationships in families and communities. In these relationships, there is also an invisible front line between love and hate.

Let us pray to God to grant us another renewal and strengthen us. Pray that He allows us to get rid of everything that prevents our people from withstanding the war against the Russian invaders. Pray that He, as a caring Father, protects our soldiers, wounded and captured, tired medics and charity workers. Pray that He saves our cities and villages on the eve of a difficult winter. And that He Himself touches the Russian people for conversion and repentance. If we think the latter is impossible, let us remember all the “impossible” things that the Lord has done for us, and let us gratefully begin with our own change and repentance so that God's grace can be manifested in us.”
