“The Supreme Court closed proceedings on the lawsuit filed by religious organizations on the abolition of Resolution No. 2410-VIII of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated 19.04.2018 “On Supporting the Appeal of the President of Ukraine to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on the Granting of Tomos of Autocephaly of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine,” message  reads. It is noted that on April 25, the Supreme Court considered the case and came to the conclusion that it had no indications to be qualified as the case under administrative jurisdiction.

At present, only the resolution part of the decree has been announced, and the full text of the decision is expected within 5 days.

The website of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine has recorded a petition filed by 47 MPs on compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine (constitutionality) of the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “On Supporting the Appeal of the President of Ukraine to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Granting the Tomos of Autocephaly of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine" from April 19, 2018 No. 2410-VIII.
