In Belarus, the Telegram channel of the parish of the Ecumenical Patriarchate has been declared extremist. The decision was made by the Baranovichi District Court on October 20th. The channel is named "Беларускі праваслаўны прыход у Вільнi" (Belarusian Orthodox Parish in Vilnius).

This information was reported by the Telegram channel "Christians Against War".

The Belarusian Orthodox Parish in Vilnius was founded by Belarusian priests Georgiy Roy and Oleksandr Kukhta, who have been vocal opponents of the war in Ukraine and the repression in Belarus. Due to their stance, they were forced to leave Belarus and seek refuge in Lithuania, where they were accepted by the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
