On the sidelines of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
The Head of State thanked His All Holiness for his support of our country, prayers for peace, and assistance to Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression.
"It is very important that you are with us today at the Peace Summit. Thank you for your humanitarian support, especially in the return of Ukrainian children and the exchange of prisoners. This is very important for us," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President also expressed gratitude to Patriarch Bartholomew for involving countries of the world in the Global Peace Summit.
The Head of State noted the efforts of His All Holiness to promote the development and strengthening of Orthodoxy in Ukraine and the dialogue with the clergy of the world and partner countries in this regard.
