The head of the UGCC to visit Canada

The Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Sviatoslav, will make a visit to Canada, where he will meet with Ukrainian refugees and preside over the episcopal ordination.

This was reported by the Information Department of the UGCC.

On January 19–21, services will be held during which Father Mykhailo Smolinsky will be consecrated as a bishop, appointed episcopal bishop of the Saskatoon Eparchy for Ukrainians (Canada). The events will be led by the Head of the UGCC.

At the Cathedral of Saint George in Saskatoon (Canada) on January 21, 2024, at 7:00 PM local time, His Beatitude Sviatoslav will also meet with the Ukrainian community. The event will begin with a prayer for peace in Ukraine. The address of the church is 210 Avenue M South Saskatoon, SK, Canada.
