The Head of the UGCC urges to take care of Ukrainians in the liberated territories
"Therefore," the Primate added, "I appeal to all those who hear me now: let us show our solidarity and Christian love to our brothers and sisters, who are perhaps the most difficult today."
In his address, the head of the UGCC spoke about the situation in Ukraine. He stressed that with God's help, the Ukrainian people are reclaiming their God-given land, and new cities and villages are being liberated from the murderous years of the occupier. "But also terrible, terrible war crimes against humanity are being revealed. About 200 war crimes are recorded daily. These are mass killings of the civilian population, torture, robberies and everything that really qualifies as a war crime," the Primate said.
"It breaks my heart," he added, " When we look at what the Russian occupier leaves behind on Ukrainian soil. Today, this is something that can be registered — more than 900 health care institutions, more than 200 churches and religious buildings have been destroyed."
The head of the UGCC drew attention to the fact that, according to the testimonies of farmers and farmers, this year, the Lord gave Ukraine a harvest that no one remembers. "I think this is not in vain. The Lord God blesses us, gives the land the harvest and the fruit of our labor so that we can be grateful — to him for the gifts, and to the Ukrainian land for feeding us in difficult times of military hard times," the head of the UGCC said.
According to him, we should share these gifts with all those who were deprived of the opportunity to sow and reap and whom the Ukrainian soldiers, soldiers of peace and light, just released from under the Russian boot: "let's hurry with help to those brothers and sisters who are now in the greatest need, most affected by this war."
In a video message on the eve of the day of God the Creator, His Beatitude Sviatoslav said the word of gratitude to Ukrainian farmers, peasants, and farmers: "Thank you, because thanks to your hard work and courage to go out into the field even when it can be vital, and thanks to the fruitfulness of our land, Ukraine today has bread. Moreover, we can share bread with our neighbor." "God bless Ukraine! God bless her working people! God bless all those who cherish the work culture and respect the environment! God bless the Ukrainian army, which is our hope for protecting this land! God, make us all wise stewards in the universe that you have given us! God, bless Ukraine with your just, heavenly peace!" the Head of the UGCC added In conclusion.
