Catholic youth evangelization course “3:16” held in UGCC
This was reported by the Information Department of the UGCC.
The course consisted of seven meetings that took place once a week. Each meeting included an educational part, a prayer of praise and communication in groups where participants had the opportunity to testify to their faith.
During the 3:16 event, participants debunked myths about 'boring Christianity', discussed God's love and mercy that surpasses our sins, and considered issues of human relationships, God's support in difficult moments, freedom of choice, and responsibility.
The coordinator of the event was the association of Catholic youth communities “Called to Serve,” which has previously held several formation modules for youth, with more than 600 participants, as well as 4 ecumenical prayers for Ukraine and night vigils.
In total, about 400 people took part in the course.
According to the organizers, this event was a good example of the implementation of the resolutions of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC in 2024, which emphasize the importance of modern methods of evangelization and involvement of young people in church life. The title of the course focuses on one of the most famous Gospel quotes (John 3:16), which summarizes the meaning of the Christian Good News: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
