21.09.2020, 12:22

The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (founded in 1996) is a day of a special intensified joint prayer of intercession and action aimed at protecting persecuted Christians around the world.

On this day, Churches around the world are preparing to join their efforts and prayers in unity "to remember those who suffer".

This was reported by Invictory.org.

Since 1996, over 105,000 churches in more than 130 countries have been holding events on this day.

"When our employees meet with persecuted Christians around the world, their first request to the free Church is to pray for them," says Todd Nettleton, an employee of the American office of the Voice of Martyrs. "The international day of prayer for the persecuted Church is a day when the entire Body of Christ joins forces to respond to their requests in unity."
