The Synod of the OCU elected a new bishop

Participants in the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), which took place on November 7 in Kyiv, have elected a new bishop.

According to the OCU website, on the submission of Metropolitan Epifaniy, Archimandrite Arseniy (Pozharny), the rector of St Nicholas Men's Monastery in Bohuslav and a clergyman of the Eparchy of Kyiv, has been elected as the Bishop of Bohuslav and a vicar of the Eparchy of Kyiv.

The ordination and consecration of Archimandrite Arseniy will take place in Kyiv.
