Three people were injured during a fire in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

During a fire in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, three people were injured. One of them jumped out of a second-floor window.

According to TSN, this was reported by Kyiv NOW page on social media.

Rescuers eliminated the fire in the workshop for painting icons on the territory of the Lavra.

According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, at 13:45 in the Pechersk district on 9-21 Lavrska street, the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, a fire broke out on the second floor of the two-story Building No. 68 (where the icon-painting workshop is located) which spread to the roof (the area is specified).

At 14:37, the fire was localized on an area of 100 square meters and at 14:45 it was liquidated.

55 people and 13 pieces of equipment of the state emergency service were involved to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire will be determined by law enforcement agencies.
