On his Facebook page, Ukrainian Greek Catholic Bishop Borys Gudziak posted photos of EuroMaidan’s deceased heroes and urged for the creation of “the lives of the martyrs.”

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13).

“I encourage everyone, especially journalists, to create the lives of the martyrs who gave their lives for our dignity, for our liberty,” he writes.

Bishop Borys wished for the feat of the victims to become the conversion to our dignity.

“Let their witness, death, and eternal life be for us a source of understanding truth and a return to our dignity,” said the bishop.

On February 20 in Kyiv, 70 to 100 people were killed, and this is not the final figure.

Among the dead is a lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University, Bohdan Solchanyk. A sniper’s bullet pierced his head.

Earlier the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reported that 67 bodies were delivered to the Bureau of Forensics. Of those killed, 9 died in hospitals. The Ministry of Health reported that 551 demonstrators received medical aid in the city’s hospitals. Three hundred and thirty-two were hospitalized.
