In a traditional letter upon completion of the Synod of the UGCC to the Orthodox Churches in Ukraine, the UGCC Synod members reminded their brothers in Christ of the value of unityonce again.

As they say in a letter to the heads of the three Orthodox denominations in Ukraine, “the unity of Ukrainians, not only in Ukraine but all over the world, prevented the occupiers to dismember our country.”

“And even if there is not full communion between our churches - successors of the Kyivan Christianity, Ukrainian people appreciate our common action and mutual respect. It serves as a living testimony forfostering and nurturing unity and understanding among the people. Let us pray that the Lord grant our Churches the spiritual strength to be preachers of God's truth and unity in Christ,” the UGCC Synod of Bishops reason.

According to the Information Department of UGCC, the letters have been sent to the Patriarch Filaret of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyiv Patriarchate; His Beatitude Onyfriy, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church; and His Beatitude Metropolitan Makariy, Primate of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
