Ukraine's State Officials Obliged to Show No Preferences for Any Religious Organizations

A new requirement was added to the General Rules of Behavior of State Official on the basis of Order 176 of the Main Department of State Service of Ukraine.

A state official should not express any preferences for any associations of citizens, religious organizations regardless of their size, status, denomination, line of activity.

This requirement was added to the General Rules of Behavior of a State Official on the basis of Order 176 of the Main Department of State Service of Ukraine of July 17, 2011, which made alterations to Order 214 of August 4, 2010, reports the Institute for Religious Freedom

The document was registered at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on August 15, 2011 under #973/19711 and will soon come into effect.
