Ukrainian carols will play on the tower of the Canadian Parliament
The Congress of Ukrainians of Canada told about this to the Ukrinform correspondent.
"Ukrainian Christmas carols will be played from the Peace Tower of the central block of the Parliament of Canada in Ottawa,” the Ukrainian organization said.
It is noted that a special event dedicated to Christmas will be held on January 7 from 12:00 to 12:20 local time.
Ukrainian carols will be performed with a carillon, a mechanical musical instrument installed in the parliament's clock tower.
Note that the 98-meter Peace Tower is the central architectural element of the complex of structures of the Parliament of Canada in Ottawa. Built in 1920, it stands in the heart of the Canadian capital. Inside the tower, there is a carillon with 53 bells.
