Ukrainian religious leaders and politicians to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington

The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Patriarch Sviatoslav Shevchuk and head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kyiv Patriarchate) as well as government representatives and opposition leaders will attend today the National Prayer Breakfast, a traditional event held in Washington.

The U.S. Congress is the official host of the event which is held on the first Thursday of February each year for 62 years.

By tradition, the participants of this year’s event will be addressed by U.S. President Barack Obama.
