UN to Honor Victims of Holodomor

On December 3, the United Nations will honor the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933, the news center of UN reports.

According to the report, this Friday, in the headquarters of the UN in New York, a memorial event "Food Security for All Generations. Lessons of the Past: Remembering the Victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine and all Other People Who Died as the Result of  Artificial Famine in the 20th and 21st Centuries." The event will be held in the form of the requiem concert with the participation of children's choirs, reports www.radiosvoboda.org.  

The event is organized by the Permanent Representative Office of Ukraine at the UN, the World Federation of Organizations of Ukrainian Women, the American Association of Assisting the UN, and public organization World Information Transfer.

On November 27, Ukraine remembered the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

In 2006, the Supreme Council of Ukraine recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian nation.
