The guard of the St. Nicholas church (under jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church), which is on the Askold's Grave in Kyiv, December 18, at night, noticed a figure. According to the guard, it was a 16-17-year old man of medium height. He went to the door of the church and threw two Molotov cocktails inside.

Fortunately, the fire was extinguished. The temple is intact.

"I do not know what this young man was guided by doing this and who gave him this task. However destroying the temple of God is savagery ", - said the rector of the parish fr. Ihor Onyshkevych.

Pastor said that the community will address the prosecutor and the Pechersky District Police.
