UOC (MP) believers held religious procession in Kyiv

According to the Information Centre of the UOC, Deputy Head of the Department for External Relations of the UOC archpriest Mykolai Danylevych said that believers covered the way from St. Volodymyr's Hill to the Kyiv-Caves Monastery.

“This religious procession is an important event, because it involved about 20 thousand of believers - Kyivites and pilgrims from all over Ukraine. It is important that people living in different regions of Ukraine have seen each otherin this religious procession, have prayed together for peace and unity in our country,” Danylevych notes.

Just before that,eight icons of the Mother of God were welcomedat 14.00 at St Volodymyr's Hill near the monument to St. Volodymyr the Great, they were brought from different regions of Ukraine,and thena solemn prayer service was held to mark the 1000thanniversary of the Assumption of Prince Volodymyr.

Upon arrival in the Kyiv Cave Monastery, the Vigil service will start in the Assumption Cathedral Square, during this service the icons will be available for veneration.

On July 28 at 09.00, the festive Divine Liturgy will be held at the Kyiv-Caves Monastery. The miraculous icons will be available for veneration on July 27 and 28.
