UOC-MP has a new bishops

On October 30, the Primate of the UOC-MP Onufriy led the Divine Liturgy and the ordination of a bishop at St. Panteleimon Monastery (Feofania).

The Liturgy was held in the Church of All Saints at the residence of the Primate, the press service of the UOC-MP reports.

During the Liturgy, the hierarchs, led by Metropolitan Onufriy, ordained Archimandrite Seraphim (Kadubiansky) as Bishop of Novovorontsovka, vicar of the Novokakhovka Diocese.

The hierarchs prayed for peace in Ukraine. They also offered a memorial prayer for the deceased Sr. Alipia (Avdeieva, +1988). This day marked 36 years since she reposed in the Lord.

The Divine Liturgy was followed by the ceremony of handing over the bishop's crosier.

As the Information and Education Department of the UOC-MP reported previously, on October 27, Metropolitan Onufriy (Berezovsky) of the UOC-MP and the hierarchs of the Moscow Patriarchate ordained Archimandrite Anastasius (Bednikov) as Bishop of Ovidiopol, vicar of the Odesa Eparchy. The Holy Synod of the UOC-MP, whose decisions have not yet been made public, elected a new bishops at a meeting on October 23, 2024.
