Arab countries can help Ukraine protect its people from Russian aggression, including the Muslim community in Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement at the League of Arab States summit, as reported by RBK-Ukraine.

"I want to leave this appeal in Jeddah: help us protect our people, including the Ukrainian Muslim community. With me here is Mustafa Dzhemilev, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, one of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine. His home is Crimea, a Muslim region in Ukraine," said Zelensky.

The President emphasized that the Crimean Tatars were the first victims of Russian repression in occupied Crimea. Zelensky called on Arab countries to facilitate the return of Ukrainians, especially children, who were deported by Russia.

"We have a positive experience with Saudi Arabia in the release of our people captured by Russia. We can expand this experience," stated the head of state.

It is worth noting that today President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in the League of Arab States summit. He will meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Afterwards, the head of state is expected to travel to Japan for the G7 summit.
