All foreign passports of Metropolitan Pavlo (Lebid) of the UOC-MP annulled, - a lawyer

According to Metropolitan Pavlo's lawyer, Mykyta Chekman, they filed a statement with the migration service about the loss of foreign passports as soon as the suspicion was announced against the clergyman of the UOC-MP. "It turned out that we couldn't find these documents. Therefore, for now, all the foreign passports of the bishop have been annulled. He only has a Ukrainian citizen's passport," says lawyer Mykyta Chekman.

It's worth noting that the Solomiansky District Court of Kyiv on October 2nd ordered Metropolitan Pavlo to inform the investigator every time he plans to leave his estate in the village of Voronkiv.

Law enforcement does not rule out the possibility that the bishop may be hiding from pre-trial investigation authorities and the court. In particular, the fact that Metropolitan Pavlo has headed the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for almost 30 years, according to law enforcement, opens the way for him to leave Ukraine unhindered due to strong social ties with the believers.

In March of this year, the abbot of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Pavlo (Petro Lebid), was spotted during the procedure for obtaining a foreign passport.
