All-Ukraine Olympiad in Hebrew and Jewish literature takes place in Dnipro
This year for the first time Dnipro has been elected to the state Ukrainian students’ Olympiad of Hebrew and Jewish literature. The International Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute “Beit Chana” was elected as the basis for the Olympiad, said Religion in Ukraine with reference to the website of the Jewish community of Dnipro.
The Olympiad was opened on March 27 in the Art Gallery of the Menorah center in Dnipro, but the highlight will be the presentation of awards and closing ceremony of the Olympiad - in the hall “Menorah Ballroom” on March 29 (the ceremony is to begin at 14:00).
“Being a landmark for the state policy in the field of national minorities of Ukraine, the event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and is aimed at identifying and supporting talented youth,” said Rima Aronov, the Rector of the International Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute “Beit Chana,” the venue of the competition was chosen not randomly, it is the International Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute “Beit Chana” that trained for 22 years the qualified primary school teachers and caregivers of preschool education, whose of professional acting include providing Jewish education of children. And it means instilling the love of Hebrew, Jewish literature and Jewish traditions; shaping national identity.”
The Contest participants' works will be analyzed and evaluated by the jury composed of representatives of Education of Ukraine, the Institute of Education NAPS, scientific advisors, including the Institute of Education Content Modernization of MES of Ukraine and Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.
