On October 20, a delegation from the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO) began an official visit to Norway, starting in Oslo. This group, consisting of religious leaders from various denominations and faiths in Ukraine, is on an advocacy mission to support the Ukrainian state. The delegation includes His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

This was reported by the UGCC Department for Information.

The visit commenced with a joint ecumenical prayer at the Swedish Lutheran Church in Oslo. Participants expressed gratitude to God for the gift of unity among the Churches and prayed for peace in Ukraine.

On the first day of the visit, the delegation toured the Norwegian Bible Society, where they engaged in a warm meeting and exchanged experiences. Representatives of the UCCRO thanked their Norwegian counterparts for their collaboration and support of biblical ministry.

During the meeting, His Beatitude Sviatoslav highlighted the importance of God's Word in fostering Christian unity.

"We were pleased to learn that the success of the Ukrainian Bible Society stems from its reliance on local Ukrainian churches. All our represented churches are co-founders of the Ukrainian Bible Society. The Bible Society not only transforms society and culture, but it also impacts the Churches and their leaders. Today, with so many divisions among Christians, it is crucial to identify what unites us — the Word of God. This perspective can significantly change how many hierarchs and leaders of various Churches think."

The Head of the UGCC also emphasized that the unified voice of the Ukrainian Churches serves as a powerful testimony to the world. "Our visit provides us with the opportunity to represent Ukraine within Norwegian society. It is precisely because our churches are united and speak as one that our voice is so powerful today. This voice will be even stronger when it reflects the teachings of God's Word."
