Archbishop Ihor (Isichenko) of Khrakiv and Poltava Eparchy of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church was one of the first Ukrainian hierarchs to greet the new Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in USA.

Archbishop Ihor (Isichenko) of Khrakiv and Poltava Eparchy of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church was one of the first Ukrainian hierarchs to greet the new Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in USA, Archbishop Antony (Shcherba) elected by the Extraordinary Sobor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA on Saturday, 6 October 2012 as the successor to Metropolitan Constantine of Blessed Memory, as Metropolitan-Elect of the Church.

“As our pastors and faithful remember well Your stay in the native land, Your wise and responsible position regarding the problems and prospects of creation of one Local  Orthodox Church and know about Your outstanding contribution in the canonical organization of life of the Ukrainian Church communities in USA, they trust that Your leadership of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in USA  will become an important factor of stabilization of Church life in the Ukrainian communities of the world, growth  of centripetal tendencies there, uniting of the historic descendants of the Kyivan Orthodox Metropolitanate around the Constantinopol Patriarchate,” reads the address of the archbishop.
