Archbishop of Greece in Evangelismos Hospital with Covid-19

Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, was admitted today at 07:40 in “Evangelismos” Hospital with a diagnosis of Covid-19 and is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit, where he is also undergoing medical examinations.

The Archbishop, who was diagnosed negative in both rapid and molecular tests, which he underwent after the end of the work of the Standing Holy Synod and before his meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was diagnosed positive in the scheduled molecular test he underwent on the night of Monday 16/11.

“I personally participate as a shepherd in the ordeal that concerns thousands of our brothers in our country and millions throughout the Universe. I share in the agony and pain and fear of all, that with our Faith in God we will all overcome”, the Archbishop stressed to his close associates shortly before his introduction, emphasizing the sacred obligation of all of us to respect the rules and the measures of the competent health authorities of the State to protect the supreme good of human health and life.
