Armenians of Ukraine commemorate the family tragically killed in Gyumri

On January 18, the parishioners of the Church of St. George the Trophy-Bearer of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Mykolayiv commemorated the Avetisyansfamilywhich was innocently killed in the Armenian city of Gyumri. The memorial service was celebrated by church rector Ter Varag (Yaparyan), according to the RISU journalist.

As previously reported, at dawn on January 12, thefamily of 6 persons was murdered in their house: 5 adults and a child. The condition of the youngest member of the family, a six-month baby, had been grave,and on January 19 after a week of doctors’ fight for his life, the baby died. This brutal crime was committed bysoldier ValeriyPermyakov - a deserter from the 102nd Russian military base on the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Armenian community demands fair investigation of the crime and the administration of justice. The Armenian Church everywhere prays for the repose of souls of the deceased members of Avetisyanfamilyand life and health of the survivor.
