Barbarian repair of Great Choral Synagogue in Bila Tserkva Suspended
The Jewish community of Ukraine represented by Chief Rabbi of Ukraine and Kyiv Moshe Reuven Azman complained to the authorities of Bila Tserkva about unskilled and barbaric actions of repair workers who destroy the historical shape of the building of the Big Choral Synagogue.
This was reported by Natella Andryushchenko, Executive Director of the Jewish community of Bila Tserkva, Pohlyad reports.
According to her, the reconstruction of the synagogue is carried out with no regard to the historical value of the elements of the building: the old facade of the building is now being scratched off, and the walls are plastered with foam.
According to Natella Andryushchenko, such barbaric actions destroy the priceless monument of architecture in Bila Tserkva.
Note that the building of the former synagogue in Bila Tserkva now hosts the local Technical Economic College.
