Believers Pass Tents of Parliamentary Candidate to Enter Cathedral of Transfiguration and Bow to Shroud of Holy Virgin

There are tents of a parliamentary candidate representing the Party of Regions, Ihor Lysov, in front of the entrance to the cathedral of Transfiguration of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate. One can buy icons and candles in the tents. Lysov initiated the construction of the church and is the head of the Parish Council.

On October 14, the Shroud of the Holy Virgin from Jerusalem arrived in the Cathedral of Transfiguration in Kyiv. The shrine has stayed in Ukraine for nearly a month and on the Day of Protection of the Mother of God, it was brought to Kyiv for one day.                     

The faithful who wished to bow to the shrine had to pass the agitation tents of the parliamentary candidate, Ihor Lysov.
