Bishops of UGCC at Synod Take Secrecy Oath

The first official act of this year’s Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church took place in the Church of St. Joseph in Winnipeg (Canada). The Synod fathers took their oath to keep secret and prayed for the assistance of the Holy Spirit in their activity.

The first official act of this year’s Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church took place in the Church of St. Joseph in Winnipeg (Canada). The Synod fathers took their oath to keep secret and prayed for the assistance of the Holy Spirit in their activity.

To the Information Department of UGCC, the prayer was led by the Head of UGCC, Patriarch Sviatoslav in concelebration with the metropolitans and bishops from Ukraine, Canada, USA, Poland, Brazil, Argentine, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Australia. In total, 38 bishops will participate in the Synod.
