The number of law enforcement officers on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra has increased, but the number of parishioners and clergy of the UOC-MP has decreased. On the morning of April 23, liturgies were held in several churches within the reserve, and afterwards, supporters of the Moscow Church returned to their traditional prayer standing. Later, the first activists appeared.

This was reported by journalist Yuriy Pugach of "Channel 5".

After the high-profile detention of the most ardent supporter of the UOC-MP, Viktoria Kukhanovska, and three of her accomplices, as well as the former governor of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Pavlo (Lebed), it finally became quieter and calmer within the reserve and its sanctuaries. Everyone is now being asked to show their documents and undergo a superficial examination at the entrance.

The increased security measures were taken precisely because, on April 19, supporters of the UOC-MP broke the shutters and doors to the architectural monument - the entrance to the Gallery of Near Caves, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Now, the buildings that have already been transferred to state ownership are being guarded by the police, and there is also security inside.
