Only three UOC-MP communities remain in the Lviv region
During said period, another 25 religious organizations of the UOC-MP ceased their activities on their own orders.
This was reported by the Department for Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv Regional Military Administration at the request of RISU.
In particular, on November 4, by the order of the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration of 04.11.2024 No. 1179/0/5-24VA, amendments to the charter of the religious organization “Religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Vidniv, Nesterov district, Lviv region” were approved and it became a community of the OCU. RISU has already reported on its transition.
By the same order of the head of the Regional State Administration, the communities that had ceased their activities on their own initiative were deregistered.
1. Religious organization “Religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Stryi, Lviv region.
2. Religious organization “Religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Staryava, Mostyska district, Lviv region”.
3. Religious organization “Religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Martyrs Cyprian and Justina in the village of Pryslip, Turka district, Lviv region”.
4. Religious organization “Religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Yavora village, Turka district.
Thus, as of 04.11.2024, 3 religious communities of the UOC in unity with the Moscow Patriarchate are still registered in the Lviv region, namely:
1. Religious community of the UOC of the Holy Trinity Parish in Lviv (100 Antonovycha St., Lviv, Lviv Territorial Community);
2. Religious community of the UOC of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Radekhiv, Lviv region (30 Myr Street, Radekhiv, Radekhiv Territorial Community, Sheptytskyi district);
3. Religious community of the UOC of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Sosnivka, Lviv region (16/28 Hrushevskoho St., Sosnivka, Sheptytska Territorial Community, Sheptytskyi district).
