On April 19 the Armed Forces of Ukraine celebrate the 8th anniversary of the establishment of the Military Law Enforcement Service.
KYIV – On April 19 the Armed Forces of Ukraine celebrate the 8th anniversary of the establishment of the Military Law Enforcement Service. Amongst others, the service is assigned with the tasks of handling diversions and terrorist acts, providing road safety for the military transport facilities, participating in peace-making operations, and providing detention and neutralization, if required, for military criminals.
In other words it is a kind of military police. At the invitation of administration of the military unit А 0952 of the Military Law Enforcement Service, located in Vasylkiv, archpriest Vitalii Prykhodko, deputy head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) Military Department, attended the anniversary celebrations dedicated to establishment of the service, reports the website of the UOC-MP.
On behalf of department chairman Archbishop Augustine of Lviv and Halych, the archpriest greeted the servicemen and handed the certificates to the officers of distinguished achievement in service who work to improve the spiritual and moral condition of the law-enforcement troops. Also at the celebration modern military equipment was displayed and techniques of alpinist preparation were demonstrated.
