The Szczecin branch of the Association of Ukrainians in Poland has announced a competition for the best pysanka made by means of the traditional Ukrainian national technique, the results of which will be announced before May 2.

According to Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by the chairman of the Szczecin branch of the Association of Ukrainians in Poland (OUP) Jan (Ivan) Syrnik.

The contest is open to people who send at least five Easter eggs.
The jury will consider the pieces submitted before April 30, 2021, signed and described by the author. (You must specify the author's first and last name; the origin of the ornament of the Made Easter eggs, the technique).

"When evaluating Easter eggs, the jury members will take into account the author's compliance with Ukrainian national traditions, the artistic value of the work, the quality of its performance and the overall aesthetic value," the organizers write.

The jury, which will be determined by the contest organizers, will select the best works, the authors of which will receive awards.

Please note that submitted works are not returned. They become the property of the organizers and will be presented at the expositions of the exhibition "deposits of memory" in the Szczecin Department of Ukrainian culture. The project was additionally financed from the budget of the Gmina of Szczecin.
