Coronavirus detected in 12 monks of Holosiyiv monastery and one monk of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra
Over the past day, April 21, COVID-19 was found in 97 people in Kyiv, including 12 monks of the Holosiyiv monastery and one monk of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
This was told by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaly Klytschko at a daily briefing, Ukrayinska Pravda (Ukrainian Truth) reports.
"The number of Kyiv residents who were tested positive for coronavirus by laboratories, over the past day has increased by 97 people, including 10 health workers. Overall, 989 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported in Kyiv.
34 women aged 22 to 83 years and 7 girls aged under 17 years, as well as 52 men aged 18 to 85 years and four children under 17 years, fell ill.
21 patients were admitted to hospitals in the capital, the rest are treated in self-isolation under the doctors' supervision.
One monk of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and 12 monks of the Holy Protection Monastery in Holosiyiv were among those who were confirmed to have the coronavirus over the past 24 hours. In this monastery, all the rooms are being disinfected. We're quarantining it.
Municipal services continue to survey dormitories that are subordinate to the city. If necessary, it will be disinfected.
