On Sunday, November 15, 2009, after the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of Saint Volodymyr in Paris, a Ukrainian requiem of Oleksandr Kozarenko dedicated to the victims of repressions, deportations, and holodomors of 20th century in Ukraine took place.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 18:00 under the direction of Mrs. Natalie Pasternak, the head of the Representative Committee in France, representatives of the French government, and representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in France, the association “Ukraine 33,” and the Ukrainian community laid flowers on the monument of Taras Shevchenko. Each of them expressed short, but powerful word, and afterwards all gathered in the parish’s hall of the Cathedral of Saint Volodymyr the Great.

On November 21, 2009, at 17:00 under the Arc de Triumph, on the grave of Unknown Soldier, a laying of flowers ceremony took place with the participation of the Ambassador of Ukraine in France Constantine Tymoshenko and representatives of the Ukrainian community.

The Divine Liturgy was led by Reverend Bishop Mikhail (Hrynchyshyn), bishop for Ukrainians of the UGCC in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. Priests of the exarchate and the priests of other Catholic Churches took part in the mass. Monsignor Brizar, director of the Association Euro d’Orio, pronounced a resonant sermon. After the Divine Liturgy an ecumenical memorial service for the victims of the Holodomor was held with the participation of Orthodox priests Serhiy Herasymenko and Fr. Boris Khaynevskyj of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC). The Divine Liturgy was sung by the cathedral choir of Saint Volodymyr the Great in Paris lead by Mrs. Nadiya Bilohodska. At the mass were present the Ambassador of Ukraine in France Constantine Tymoshenko and representatives of the diplomatic staff.

On the next day the priests of the exarchate held their conference council.
