During Visit of Patriarch Kirill All Other Events Prohibited in Luhansk

The City Executive Committee of the Eastern Ukrainian City of Luhansk prohibited any actions on 14-15 September except those connected with the visit of the Head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill. So reads Resolution 269 of 12 September, reported Weekly Mirror.Ukraine. 

Let us remind that on 5 September, the Luhansk branch of the Ukrainian People’s Party officially reported to the city mayor that on 15 September, it is going to spread the largest flag of Ukraine near the monument to Taras Shevchenko in the city. This coincides in time with an event with the participation of the head of ROC.

The Luhansk Regional branch of the All-Ukrainian Association Svoboda also plans protest actions against the visit of the Patriarch of Moscow. The events are to be held on 14 September, at Horkoho Square where the Cathedral of St. Volodymyr is located where Patriarch Kirill is to lead a liturgy on 15 September. Svoboda also intends to conduct an event at the Theatre Square on 15 September.
