Evangelicals, Adventists, Lutherans and Orthodox Armenians Prepare for Joint Conference Dedicated to 1025th Anniversary of Baptism of Rus
A theological conference and a concert dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the baptism of Rus-Ukraine will be held on August 9 in Kyiv. The event is organized by the Ukrainian Evangelical Alliance (UEA) with assistance from representatives of various Christian confessions and denominations, Religion in Ukraine reports, citing Invictory.
On June 12 the UEA initiated a roundtable discussion to determine the list and order of events to commemorate the momentous date in history – the 1025th anniversary of the baptism of Rus-Ukraine. The meeting resulted in an agreement to hold joint conferences and a concert.
Support and willingness to participate in activities have been expressed by the Ukrainian Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists, the association Blaha Vist (Good News), United Christian Evangelical Church of the Living God, the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine, Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Ukrainian Christian Assembly, and the Apostolic Orthodox Church in Ukraine.
Participants will gather at the Kyiv Teacher's House (57 Volodymyrska Street) on August 9.
